Synopsis: Four magicians each answer a mysterious summons to an obscure address with secrets inside. A year later, they are the Four Horseman, big time stage illusionists who climax their sold out Las Vegas show with a bank apparently robbed for real. This puts agents Dylan Rhodes of the FBI and Alma Vargas of Interpol on the case to find out how they did it. However, this mystery proves difficult to solve even with the insights of the professional illusion exposer, Thaddeus Bradley. What follows is a bizarre investigation where nothing is what it seems with illusions, dark secrets and hidden agendas galore as all involved are reminded of a great truth in this puzzle: the closer you, the less you see. – IMDb
Review: Do you enjoy magic tricks? and Do you enjoy heist films? Well, if you’re like me and enjoy both, then you will find a lot of enjoyment with the film Now You See Me. The film carries a star-studded cast and puts them in a fast fun paced film that will keep you entertained throughout the film. As fun as the film was, it did have its flaws throughout and mainly to its story. The film does build up a mystery that keeps you intrigued but what keeps this film from being a great summer flick is the last act. The last act and big reveal at the end was very disappointing. It wasn’t an ending you wanted and expected. At the end, it is a fun film that anybody can enjoy and have some fun with if they have the time to spare.
“The film keeps things fast paced in order to cover its deficiencies, and it is fairly fun if you’re willing to experience the film unquestioningly. Unfortunately, the final act was disappointing to me, especially the revelation of the identity of the puppet master pulling the Horsemen’s strings.” – Fogs’ Movie Reviews
“Now You See Me” is a real toughie for me. I was never bored. I never checked my watch. I enjoyed some of the performances, particularly from Laurent. But there are just too many stinking flaws to give the movie a recommendation.” – Keith & The Movies
“Now You See Me features an intriguing premise and a set of very entertaining performances from The Four Horsemen themselves, but an over-reliance on hollow twists and turns keep it from true greatness.” – Rorschach Reviews
Would You Recommend It? Yea, you should go see it for the cast alone.
Would You Purchase The Blu-Ray? No.
Would You Watch It Again? Yea, I can see myself renting it.
